Fic: Consanguinity (Harry/Snape) R.
All links are to the website.

Consanguinity is the third and last of the Consanguinity arch. It'll mke much more sense if you've read Humour and Melancholia first.

Consanguinity

I don't normally dedicate my stories, but this one is for the people in fandom who, in their own time, create websites, archives and livejournal newsletters. I owe you. Thanks.
The dragon is called Oolong.

Plot summary: A few owls, some books, and rather a lot of cups of tea. Consanguinity rejoiced in the pet-names, whilst being written, of Walking with Ghosts and Indoor Fireworks...should give you a clue.

Before I get past the story introduction and there won't be anything capable of dragging me away from the browser window until the concluding sentence, I just wanted to let you know that I'm already addicted to this from the first paragraph.

I was just looking for a good fanfic to read. This made my day. Thank you for continuing the arc.

I am so glad you like Consanguinty, and thank you for the rec.
For some time now I've been meaning to tell you how much (laughs, for reasons that should become obvious) I adore, respect, and *think* about The Price of Magic. The first chapter. I have the rest: I have it saved on hard drive and on CD, just in case, but I feel about it...almost as if it's something sacred. (Very wry grin at this point.) I cannot read it until it's finished.
Happy Birthday, BTW.
Oh, and when you have a little time...did you say commission, artwork? Can you e-mail me, tryfanstone @ yahoo.co.uk, doesn't have to be more than a yea or a nay?

Oh my, I'm one happy pj! Thank you very much! It's wonderful! I must confess that I wasn't very eager to read it because of the first two parts that scared the shit out of me, but I should have had faith in you :) I loved everything about this fic, every-bloody-thing.

I suck at giving feedback 'cos my eloquence seems to evaporate when I just read and loved something, so instead I'll rec-back: of this story and the rec of On Wednesday. Let them be my humble but admiring thanks to you for all the pleasure you give us all.

So, so glad you liked it. (although you were quite right in the first place. Humour was orginally a complete stand-alone. I did try to twist it a bit to the snarry love..'a selfish and possessive passion', 'caresses the chambers of his heart.')
I can't tell you how much pleasure you give me: your lj was one of the first places I washed up against in HP fandom and is still my first resource for both new and classic stories. Thank you!

Brilliant. Like all your work this has a pin-sharp eye for detail and a rock-solid grounding in the real world that just makes the slyly-slipped in elements of the fantastic that much more believable in turn.

Ok, I was able to quickly get hold of this story, while the site was up for a few minutes. And now I'm deeply envious of people who haven't yet read it, because they still have that treat in front of them.

This is marvelous. Brilliant. I've written a longer review and rec here.

Thank you so very much.

Poor little Paul. His moments had such a quiet desperation to know his father. I love that he brought such truth to the story. Severus' response to him was telling, as well.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. I have tears in my eyes. These bittersweet Snarries always give me a heartsick wish for more.

Thank you - I'm glad Paul came across as a person. It's the first time I've ever written a child's POV, and it was quite difficult.

Like all this author's works, highly original and stunningly good. Awesome original characters! So much going on. I never quite grasped the circumstances of Paul's parentage, but it didn't matter! These many glimpses of a complex history, resolving itself - pure treasure. Wonderful... thank you... *goes off to read again*

I loved this. Like some other folks, the first two parts had me quite nervous, but I love where you took this. I love that despite the multiple POVs and all the details that are left ambiguous, there is a sense of crystal clarity to the fic. It's really wonderful.

Um. That was absolutely fantastic. 'Humour' and 'Melancholia' creep me out a bit, but they also had a lot of emotional impact, and 'Consanguinity' is one of the best new fics I've read in a very long time.
